NAB arrests MNA Safdar from airport

F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) arrested son-in-law of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and MNA Captain (retd) Safdar from the outside Islamabad airport after he was returned from London along with his wife Maryam Nawaz.

A NAB team was waiting outside Rawal lounge of the airport to arrest MNA Safdar as the NAB court issued arrest warrant of him for not appearing before the court in corruption references.

Maryam Nawaz left the airport alone amid cheers of party workers slogans and soon the NAB team arrested the MNA Safdar.

Workers of PML-N protested against the arrest of MNA Safdar and blocked the way for the vehicle of NAB and stopped them but the senior leader of PML-N Asif Kirmani conveyed party leadership directives to not start clash with any officials and the workers opened the way for the NAB vehicle.

PML-N leaders Asif Kirmani, Marriyum Aurangzeb, Marvi Memom and others were also present at the airport.
