NAB witnesses summoned on April 27 in Ashiana Housing scandal case

LAHORE: Accountability Court has summoned witnesses of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to appear in Ashiana Housing scandal case on April 27. Lahore High Court (LHC) has ordered to complete the trial reference within four months.

On receiving the order of LHC, Ashiana scandal and Ramzan sugar mills reference proceedings took place in Accountability Court Lahore. Judge Amjad Nazeer Chaudhry remarked that the trial of Ashiana reference would be completed soon.

The court accepted Fawad Hasan Fawad’s plea for exemption from court appearance however, Hamza Shehbaz could not appear in court keeping coronavirus concerns in view.

The court has summoned Hamza Shehbaz for indictment on May 4 and his judicial remand in money laundering case has been extended by 14 days.
