NDS seize 2500 kg of explosives

KABUL: The Special Forces of the National Directorate of Security have seized 2500 kilograms of explosives in Kabul.

The Afghan Intelligence in a statement said Tuesday that the NDS Special Forces have seized the explosives from Bagrami district of Kabul.

The statement further added that the NDS Special Forces discovered the explosives from a Hino type truck.

According to NDS, the Taliban militants were looking to use the explosives to manufacture Improvised Explosive Devices and car bombs.

The NDS Special Forces also arrested three suspects in connection with the transportation of explosives, NDS added.

The Taliban militants group has not commented regarding the confiscation of explosives so far. (Khaama Press)
