Necessary steps taken for peace with Pakistan: Ashraf Ghani

KABUL: President Ashraf Ghani has said that Afghanistan wants peace with all the neighbors an especially with Pakistan and adding that we have taken necessary steps for ensuring peace with Pakistan.

This he said while talking to different delegations on Saturday at Kabul. He said Afghanistan wants peace in the region and also expect that all the members of the region would respect our sovergnity and will not create any problems for us.

He added that Pakistan increased pressure on Afghanistan by closing the Torkham and Spin Boldak crossing points but now the closure of these points do not affect Afghanistan. We are trying to ensure that Afghanistan not depended on any other country.

The elders apprised the president of their problems and asked him to resolve the problems being faced by the people of the province.
