Need for women role in Saarc underlined

KABUL: Afghanistan’s Ambassador to Sri Lanka Mohammad Ashraf Haidari has pledged his support for encouraging active Afghan women to play their role in the Women Association of the South Asia Association of Regional Cooperation (SAARC).

During a meeting with SAARC Women’s Association Sri Lanka chapter expansion of the women network by including the Afghan women chapter was discussed.

The Afghan envoy offered his support to the women association of Sri Lanka to achieve their goal in advocating for women’s empowerment in South Asia.

Haidari offered his full support enabling it to establish contact with prominent Afghan women as new members.

Afghanistan is the permanent member of the SAARC. (Pajhwok)
