New Zealand cricket team arrive in Karachi

KARACHI: New Zealand cricket team landed in Karachi today (Thursday) to play Test and one-day series against Pakistan starting from December 26.

 

The New Zealand team arrived in Karachi from Dubai on Thursday. It took Kiwi squad 17 hours to reach Dubai.

 

The away Test team is led by Tim Southee and it will play two Test matches during the tour of Pakistan.

 

The squad included Kane Williamson, Tom Blundell, Michael Bracewell, Devon Conway, Matt Henry, Tom Latham, Daryl Mitchell, Henry Nicholls, Ijaz Patel, Glenn Phillips, Ash Sodhi, Blair Tickner, Neil Wagner, Will Young.

 

On the other hand, Pakistan’s 16-member squad for the Test against New Zealand has been announced. The team included captain Babar Azam, Abdullah Shafiq, Abrar Ahmed, Hasan Ali, Imamul Haq, Kamran Ghulam, Muhammad Nawaz and Muhammad Rizwan. Muhammad Wasim Jr, Naseem Shah, Nauman Ali, Sarfraz Ahmed, Salman Ali Shakeel, Saud Masood and Zahid Mehmood will also be part of the team.

First Test – 26-30 December at National Bank Cricket Arena Karachi

 

Second Test – 3-7 January at Multan Cricket Stadium

 

First ODI – 10 January at National Bank Cricket Arena Karachi

 

Second ODI – 12 January at National Bank Cricket Arena Karachi

 

Third ODI – 14 January at National Bank Cricket Arena Karachi
