Nine ANA soldiers killed in Taliban attack in Nimroz

HERAT: At least nine soldiers of Afghan National Army (ANA) were killed in Khashrod district in Nimroz province when the Taliban fighters attacked on the check-post.

Officials of police department told local media outlet that at least nine ANA soldiers were killed and another was injured in the Taliban attack.

He added that Taliban fighter suffered casualties in the gunfight however he did not provide the exact figure of Taliban causalities.

Meanwhile, Taliban spokesman, Qari Muhammad Yousaf Ahmadi claimed that 11 ANA soldiers were killed and the checkpoint was captured by Taliban fighters.
