Nine Taliban fighters killed in Paktiya drone strike

KHOST: At least nine Taliban fighters were killed and four others were injured in a drone strike carried out by foreign forces in Syed Karam district of Paktiya province on Sunday.

Paktiya governor’s spokesman Abdullah Hasrat told local media that foreign forces targeted a car and a motorbike of Taliban in Khushal Khel area in Syed Karam district in which nine fighters were killed and four others were injured.

Meanwhile, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid confirmed the drone strike on a vehicle of their fighters in Syed Karam district. He, however, said a fighter was killed and two more sustained injuries in the incident.
