No compromise on quality healthcare services: Shaukat

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Shaukat Yousafzai has said provision of quality healthcare facilities to public is among top priorities of government and no compromise will be made in the issue.

In an interview in Peshawar on Sunday, Shaukat Yousafzai said that show-cause notices have been issued to the doctors who are on strike and not attending the OPDs.

He warned that strict action will be taken against the doctors who are on strike adding to the problems of the patients visiting government hospitals on daily basis.

The Information Minister said police have been deployed to maintain peaceful atmosphere in hospitals and no one be allowed to disturb the situation.

Yousafzai said that government is taking all possible steps to resolve the problems faced by the medics but not one would be allowed to blackmail the government.
