LANDI KOTAL: One soldier was killed and another sustained injuries when Frontier Corp (FC) post was hit by lighting at Sasobi Kandow, Jarobi, Bazaar Zakha Khel, the remote area of Tehsil Landi Kotal on Monday night.
The forces official while confirming the happen said that the FC personnel of 102 Wing were executing their duties at the packet no.3, when the untoward incident took place killing one troop on the spot and another got injure who was shifted to nearest military hospital for medical aid.
The deceased was identified as Sepoy Waheed Shah and the wounded was known as Sepoy Noor, the official said. On Tuesday morning funeral prayer of late Waheed Shah was offered at FC Headquarter, Peshawar and later on his body was taken to his village Katlang, Mardan for burial purpose.
