Operation against militants to be launch soon in Helmand says Barmak

LASHKARGAH: Afghan Interior Minister, Wais Ahmad Barmak has said that operation against armed groups would be launched in Helmand province.

This he said while talking to media persons after attending military conference during his visit to Helmand. Representatives of NATO forces were present in the ceremony.

He added that he visited Helmand with the aim to evaluate the security situation in the area and adding that government will provide all necessary equipments to police and other departments to make sure the safety of masses.

He promised that all the problems will be address that police forces were facing in the area and positive changes would be brought in Helmand province.

Helmand is a restless and war-affected province and Taliban are in control of most of the province.
