Pakistan shows concern over Pence’s comments on Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua, has expressed serious concerned over the recent comments of Vice President Mike Pence regarding Pakistan and its role in the war against terrorism.

US Vice President Mike Pence said during his unannounced visit to Afghanistan on Thursday. Pence said that Pakistan must stop to provide shelters to terrorists and warned Pakistan bad consequences for it.

While addressing to Senate’s Standing Committee on External Affairs on Friday, Janjua told that the recent comments of US vice president and Pentagon are worrying and adding that US needs to treat both Pakistan and Indian equally.

She informed that the Senate Standing Committee that the Pakistan and US relations bilateral relations were brought under discussion during his recent visit to Islamabad.

Janjua added James Mattis assured that US will take appropriate steps for assuring to stop the use of Afghan soil against Pakistan.

Pakistan has destroyed the terrorist’s safe havens in its own country as we have no sympathy to towards the terrorists, she added.
