PESHAWAR: A three-day Spring and Pakistan Zindabad Festival is going to kick off at the tourist resort Malam Jabba in Swat valley tomorrow (Friday) to mark Pakistan Day.
The festival will feature various programmes and competitions for the tourists and visitors including archery, race, paintings, wall climbing and others. Arranging music evenings, bonfire, barbeque and setting up of stalls for traditional handicrafts are other features of the gala. The festival, which is being organised by a private sector company Samsons, is aimed at attracting tourists to Malam Jabba resort, reviving tourism and cultural activities in the scenic Swat valley and marking the Pakistan Day celebrations. According to organizers, the visitors and tourists will also enjoy skiing and paragliding events at the snow-covered mountains in Malam Jabba, which is considered one of the best places of the world for the skiing competition.
