Peshawar Police unveils new security policy

PESHAWAR: A high-level meeting was held under the leadership of SSP Operations Kashif Aftab Abbasi in the Malak Saad Shaheed Police Lines, Peshawar, to assess the law and order situation in the district.
During this special meeting decisions were made regarding future actions against criminals and lawbreakers. The meeting was attended by SHOs and Incharge Check Posts from across the district.
SSP Operations Kashif Aftab Abbasi stated that a new policy has been implemented to maintain peace and security in the city Under this policy, hotspot areas have been identified for cracking down on street crimes and criminal activities.
General hold-ups and special check points have been established to curb activities such as drug trafficking, illegal weapons, and other illicit smuggling. He emphasized the importance of working with integrity and treating honest and respectable citizens, including the less fortunate, with dignity.
Furthermore, a campaign against unregistered motorcycles and vehicles has been launched, and data on criminals within the precincts of police stations will be closely monitored. SSP Operations urged the effective implementation of these policies and called for expediting actions under this framework.
He also stressed the need for robust actions against elements involved in anti-social and anti-state activities. During the meeting, SSP Operations instructed police officers to utilize all available resources effectively, especially in the fight against narcotics, and to take action against drug-related offenses with utmost efficiency.
