PESHAWAR: Peshawar High Court single member bench of Justice Sahibzada Asadullah rejected bail plea of alleged robber involved in dacoity of Rs6.5 million, on Friday.
According to prosecution, the alleged culprit Waisal has committed armed robbery at a motorcar bargain in Jandai area of Takhtbhai and fled with 6.5 million rupees. The police have recovered the looted amount from his possession.
The counsel Asadullah Khan Yousafzai advocate argued that there is solid evidence against the accused, including CCTV footage as well as the culprit is identified in identification parade.
He further added that the trial is ongoing and the accused’s release on bail may affect the proceedings.
On the other hand, the accused’s lawyer claimed that there is no concrete evidence against his client. PHC’s Justice Sahibzada Asadullah rejected the bail plea of the alleged robber after conclusion of arguments.
