PESHAWAR: A divisional bench of Peshawar High Court comprising of Justice Ijaz Anwar and Justice Syed Arshad Ali has stopped division of Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (PESCO) in two distribution bodies, on Monday.
Hydro-electric Labor Union has challenged Prime Minister notification issued in this regard while Shumail Ahmad Butt argued the case on behalf of petitioners before High Court.
The counsel Shumail Ahmad Butt Advocate argued that Prime Minister has announced establishment separate distribution company for Hazara while issued notification this regard for division of PESCO which is against the law.
It is possible following approval from Board of Directors while Prime Minister has no jurisdiction to divided power distribution company, the advocate argued.
