PESHAWAR: Performance Management and Reforms Unit (PMRU), office of the Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has issued directives to the Elementary and Secondary Education Department to immediately start lecture, Speeches regarding the ethics in all schools of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. in a letter addressed to the Secretary and Director E&SE Department on behalf of the Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, it was directed to inform all the heads of the Govt. Schools ( Male/Female) to start regular speech/lesson during the morning assembly on different ethical topics to the students regularly.
It further said that 3 days in a week, there should be a speech on a specific topic about ethic and three days should be a demonstration by the students about the said topic. The aim of the exercise was to motivate the new generation for adopting good behaviors and characters in practical life so that a healthy atmosphere could be created in society at all.
It is pertinent to mention here that a list of different topics on this subject had already been sent to education department by the Chief Secretary for inclusion in the curriculum from the next academic year. However the present directives are aimed to start the practice with immediate effect in all the educational institute.
