PM’s address reflective of nation’s sentiments: Sumsam

F.P. Report

LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Information & Culture Syed Sumsam Ali Bukhari Monday said that prime minister’s address reflected the true sentiments of people, as he wanted the nation to be self-reliant.

While commenting on prime minister’s address here, he said that the country was looted in the past and we wanted to make it economically stable.

He said that Pakistan would have to expand its tax net like other developed countries of the world and people would have to play their role in national development by paying their taxes. Every citizen would abide by the government instructions if the leadership was sincere, he added. The minister said that Imran Khan was fully committed to make Pakistan a developed and prosperous country while those who committed corruption were favouring status quo.

Sumsam said that the country would have not been facing the current situation had the national exchequer been not plundered mercilessly. The prime minister had told the nation the truth and everybody should support him, he added. The opposition parties should also support the government in larger national interest. Those who committed massive corruption could not deceive the nation now, the minister added.
