Police impounds 223 motorcycles

PESHAWAR: In a crackdown against unregistered vehicles, city police has impounded 223 motorcycles within the limits of Cantt Police Station.

According to SP Cantt, Wasim Riaz, crackdown was launched in a bid to improve overall security situation and on the pretext that unregistered motorcycles and vehicles were often used by anti-social elements in crimes.

Police said that cases have been registered in relevant police station to initiate proceedings against owners of unregistered motorcycles.
