PPP demands for resignation of Governor unjustified: Musazai

F.P. Report

PESHAWAR: Provincial Secretary Information PMLN KP Nasir Khan Musazai has termed the demand of the PPP for resignation of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra as unjustified and uncalled for.

In a statement here Tuesday while strongly condemning the demand, he said that the PPP should first look towards their attitudes and behavior before making such foolish demand. The KP Governor was not using his political office of Secretary General of the ruling PMLN in his officialdom.

Former President Asif Ali Zardari was holding the office of Co-Chairman PPP throughout his five years in the Presidency, he maintained.

The President House was converted into a ‘Jiala House’ during Asif Zardari ‘s tenure while same was position in Governor House KP where PPP stalwart Masood Kausar was  .

Nasir Khan Musazai said that Iqbal Zafar Jhagra was performing his official obligations within the ambit of the constitution. He was neither making any political statement nor targeting his political opponents using the office of the governor of the province.

He said that the doors of Governor House are opened for the people of the province and Fata therefore making demand for his resignation from the office of Governor was unjust.
