PPP: Govt ready to break federation

F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: The leaders of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Thursday blamed the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government in the Centre for being ready to break the federation.

During a media talk in Islamabad, PPP vice president Sherry Rehman maintained the government have got no surprise to give except resorting to violence and baton-charge.

“It is the opposition that will give surprise to the government,” she claimed and expressed her hope that matters with Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) would soon be settled.

She also blamed the government for orchestrating attacks on the Parliament Lodges and the Sindh House.

PPP leader Naveed Qamar termed a violation of the Constitution the only escape from the no-confidence motion.

PPP leader Faisal Karim Kundi said that the nation would soon hear good news, adding that the National Assembly speaker had become a controversial figure.

“The opposition has lost trust in the National Assembly speaker,” he added.
