KARAK: Pakistan People’s Party district Karak chapter took to street here on Sunday against the increase in the prices of Petroleum products in the country and demanded to withdraw the decision.
The protestors led by district president of the party Haji Sardar and district general secretary Jehanzeb Khattak marched on Shaggi road and blocked the Karak-Bannu road at Saddam Chowk for traffic.
While addressing to the protestors Haji Sardar, Jehanzeb Khattak. Divisional general secretary Jabbar Khattak advocate and others strongly criticized the decision of the government of increasing the prices of petroleum products and claimed that the prices of the oil products were already high as the government has already withdrawn the subsidy on the prices of petrol.
The speakers said that there was already a record price hike in the country and the increase in petroleum products snatched the right of living with dignity from the people.
They rejected the decision of the government and demanded to withdraw the increase in the prices of petroleum products.
They resolved if the government did not pay any heed to the miseries of the common man of the society then they would be left with no option but to launch a more stressful protest across the country. Later the protesters dispersed peacefully after recording their protest.
