PPP, PAT leadership to meet in Lahore today

KARACHI: Opposition Leaders in National Assembly, Syed Khursheed Shah has said that Former President and Co-Chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari will hold a meeting with Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Tahirul Qadri today in Lahore.

Shah said this while talking to media persons on Thursday at Islamabad. He added that PPP delegation will meet the Tahir-ul-Qadri on on his invitation to Zardari.

Shah added that both the parties were in contact and there is nothing new about the meeting and he reminded that we stood against the Musharaf dictator.

However, he advised to PAT to stay away from street politics and anarchy as PPP wants to resolve the issues through dialogues and in the parliament.

PPP leaders Qamar Zaman Kaira, Dr Qayyum Soomro and Shah will also attend the meeting.

Zardari contacted the PAT chief and discussed the Justice Baqir Najfi commission on the 2014 Model Town incident, sources said. The two also agreed to bring those responsible for the incident to justice.
