Professors, students join hands to assist earthquake victims

KABUL (BNA) A number of Professors and students of Paktia, Paktika, and Khost Universities joined hands-on Thursday to assist the recent victims of the unprecedented Tuesday night earthquake in southern provinces of the country.
They went to the hospitals to donate blood for the injured in need and distributed food aid and clothes to the families of the victims, an act to fulfill their human responsibilities in society, said. Officials in Paktia say the professors and students of these universities voluntarily joined hands to assist those who suffered in the incident.
The recent earthquake in Khost and Paktia provinces has killed and injured hundreds of people in these provinces. Many Professors and students from universities in other provinces of the country started their condolences to the families of the victims and says they are prepared to assist people in these provinces.
Deputy Minister of Higher Education, paying his attribute to the bereaved families, called on the country’s university students to take part in assisting more families who suffered in this tragic incident.
