PTI’s Asad Qaisar arrested again by police

MARDAN: Former National Assembly speaker Asad Qaiser was arrested again on Saturday by the Swabi district police after his release in a case related to ransacking of a medical store on May 9 riots. The judicial majistrate Mardan, Adil Misal granted bail to ex- NA speaker Mr. Asad Qaiser.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader was ordered to submit surety ponds of Rs. 90000 in the court for his release. The Swabi police arrested the PTI leader under-3 MPO. On the occasion, Asad Qaiser’ brother Abdul Waheed Khan, his relatives, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) provincial vice president Zahir Shah Toru and large number of party workers were present.

Members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) legal team including Riaz Khan PaindaKheil and Nadeem Shah whil talking to media-persons told Mr. Asad Qaiser was arrested under 3-MPO by Swabi police.

They told that they were going to Peshawar High Court on next Monday to challenge his arrest under 3-MPO. They claimed that they would succeed to get bail for him in the said case. However, it was pertinent to mention here that it was the fifth arrest of ex-NA speaker by police in different cases.
