LAHORE: On behalf of provincial government Chief Minister Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif donated Rs 50 million to Shahid Afridi foundation for the establishment of hospital in Thar area of Sindh to provide free medical facilities to the poor masses.
Former Captain Shahid Afridi met with Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday. CM Shahbaz appreciated the cricketer’s efforts for providing health and education to the deprived and neglected people of the country and also donated Rs 50 million from the provincial government in this regard.
CM Shahbaz added private sector and government needs to work together for the improvement of services of health and education and he expressed that Punjab government will continue its support for the development of the country.
Shahid Afridi thanked the chief minister for the donation and lauded his efforts in the health and education sector and on Monday, Afridi inaugurated a school as part of a project by Shahid Afridi Foundation in Lahore.
