QWP rejects call for snap polls

F.P. Report

PESHAWAR: The Chairman of Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao has rejected the call for snap polls.

Speaking at the inauguration of the Sui gas project at Kot Tarnab, Charsadda district, on Saturday he said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) untimely demand is “illogical”.

He said, “In case of an early election, K-P will be deprived of three seats in National Assembly as the amendment in this regard will not be possible,” he said.

He added that those in favour of snap polls want to reduce representation of the province in the National Assembly.

Sherpao said no one should be happy over the disqualification of a politician, while speaking in regard to PTI’s Jehangir Tareen’s disqualification from public office by the Supreme Court.
