KABUL (Agencies): President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, in a meeting with the officials of Hajj process related institutions, called for a countrywide measures and further coordination in the process, a statement from the Presidential Palace said.
The country’s president said the Hajj process required throughout, coordinated and coherent measures and the process has been satisfying in the past years.
The Ariana Afghan Airline (AAA) the state run company should meet the transferring problems of Hajj pilgrims, said the statement.
“Further efforts should be made in this field,” said the president as quoted by the statement.
“Authorities who have performed Hajj pilgrimage, should not be allowed to go to Hajj for the second time, their participation in the process should be restricted and any special privileges for them, should be removed,” the country’s president added.
He said a regulation should be arranged and a working team should be tasked to arrange and present the clear report relating to the measure and preparations to find the challenges and requirements in the Hajj process.
“Special preparation should be taken from now for the vaccination and better transfer of Hajj pilgrims, as well as the problems of women pilgrims should be assessed and their quotas should be identified,” said the president.
The country’s president said: “I want to grant the quota of the presidential office to the families of the martyrs of the security and defense forces, destitute civilians and injured people.”
A five-year hajj plan should be arranged, the president said adding optimal sue should be made from the available opportunities, as well as the Afghanistan consulate office in Jadda of Saudi Arabia should be investigated and its role in the pilgrims’ transfer should be increased.
