ISLAMABAD: Chief of Awami Muslim League (AML), Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court against the passage of Electoral Reforms Bill 2017 which paves way for Nawaz Sharif to lead the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
Sheikh Rasheed while talking to media persons on Wednesday outside the Supreme Court of Pakistan, and adding that the Electoral Reforms Bill 2017 is totally violation of Article 62 and 63 and it as passed from the assembly with the intentions to benefits only one person.
The National Assembly passed on Monday the Elections Bill 2017. The bill was ratified by President Mamnoon Hussain the same day.
