Sindh government is responsible for Karachi’s problems: Waseem Akhtar

F.P. Report

KARACHI: Mayor Waseem Akhtar has criticized the Sindh government and totally out the blame on them for the overflowing roads and difficulties that were facing by people in rains.

This he said while talking to local news channel on Thursday. Waseem Akhtar Karachi needs new sewerage systems as the current system is unable to solve the problems and fulfill the requirement of today’s populations.

He flayed the Sindh government for not ensuring that the drainage systems are not used for garbage disposal as the solid waste management and water board management are in their control.

Despite raising these issues to federal and Sindh government still waiting for positive response, Akhtar added.

We are not hoping anything good from the Sindh government as they were only spectators in these conditions and doing nothing at all for the betterment of the people, Waseem Akhtar lamented.

As many as five persons were died in the heavy rain which was started from the Wednesday evening and it continued in the city.
