Six killed in Daesh-Taliban clash in Nangarhar

JALALABAD: At least six fighters of Islamic State or Daesh were killed and dozen other were injured during a clash between the IS and Taliban group in the Khogyani district of Nangarhar province.

Afghan Army issued a statement in this regard and said the gun battle was started between IS and Taliban groups in Pirkhel area of Khohyani district in which six IS fighters were and 12 others including eight Taliban were injured.

Spokesman of Taliban, Zabihullah Mujahid confirmed the gun battle while talking to local media. He claimed that the IS fighters captured civilian homes and forced area people to leave.
