Steps being taken to investigate outbreak of HIV/AIDs in Larkana: Dr Zafar

LARKANA: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Health Dr. Zafar Mirza has said steps are being taken to investigate outbreak of HIV AIDs in Larkana district of Sindh.

Taking notice of reports, he has directed to provide all out support to Sindh health department on urgent basis.

Meanwhile, federal team along with Sindh officials are conducting screening of people in affected areas.

More than 4,100 people screened for HIV and a total of 157 positive cases have been identified.

The Federal Health Ministry has extended complete assistance to Sindh Health Department in mitigation efforts such as the continuous supply of HIV Testing Kits and medicines.
