Suspect killed, two injured in different incidents in Karachi

KARACHI: The suspected street criminal was killed and two other persons were injured in different incident early Wednesday morning.

The officials told media persons that an alleged street criminal was killed in an alleged shootout with police and Rangers in Korangi area of the city and his other accomplice managed to escape from the scene. The deceased was identified as Nasir alias Kala.

The Rangers spokesman told private news channel that the suspects were busy in looting the public and they opened fire on the Rangers vehicles when it reached the spot and in response of their firing, Rangers also fired on them in which one suspect was killed and other managed to escape.

He added that the deceased had been involved in street crimes in Gulshan Iqbal and Gulistan-e-Jauhar areas.

Similarly, a policeman and a security guard were injured in a firing of robbers in Gulistan-e-Jauhar and Buffer Zone areas respectively.

Police also claimed to have nabbed a mugger from Pakistan Bazar area. The suspect was identified as Ishaq.
