GHAZNI: District Governor of Khwaja Omari was killed and nine other policemen were injured in a Taliban attack on early Thursday morning.
The police officials confirmed the news that District governor Ali Shams Dost was killed when the Taliban gunmen attacked the district governor house and police check posts in the area.
Police added that Taliban gunmen torched the governor compound after the attack and the air support was called and it killed 27 Taliban insurgents during the attack.
However, the Taliban group rejected the police claims and adding that they have captured the district.
