Trump to face nationwide protest

WASHINGTON: The US progressive group is all set to start protest nationwide if President Donald Trump expels the special counsel investigating Russian involvement in the 2016 US election.

Robert Mueller, the former Special Counsel said that Trump behaving like if he was above the law. According to international media, the progressive group is planning 800 demonstrations across the country.

The American news website claimed that every state will have at least one rally with the slogan of ‘Nobody is above the law’ and more than 0.3 million people will attend the protest rally.

The report added that if the Trump administration fired Deputy US Attorney General Rod Rosenstein then it will boost the protests across the country as Rosenstein are overseeing the Russia probe.

Earlier, President Trump called Mueller investigation, a “witch hunt” and he threatened to fire Mueller after the Federal Bureau of Investigation raided his personal lawyer’s offices on Monday.

The website added that Friends of the Earth, the American Federation of Teachers, and veteran’s organizations are the groups behind the planned protest against President Trump
