Taliban lashes four people in Parwan for robbery

PARWAN: The Taliban supreme court reported that four individuals were lashed with 39 whips each in the central province of Parwan for robbery.

In addition to the corporal punishment, each was sentenced to six years in jail, according to a statement from the court.

Over the past two years, Taliban has administered public corporal punishment to hundreds, eliciting strong criticism from human rights organizations for violations and oppressive practices.
