Taliban prison destroyed in Kapisa

KABUL: The Afghan Special Forces conducted an operation in eastern Kapisa province of Afghanistan which resulted into destruction of a Taliban prison and killing of two militants. Informed military sources said Thursday “Afghan Special Forces killed 2 Taliban fighters and destroyed a Taliban prison this week in Tagab district of Kapisa.” The sources further added that the Afghan Special Forces also conducted a raid in Shindand district of Herat province killing 3 Taliban fighters.

In the meantime, an air strike near Tarin Kot district killed 1 Taliban fighter, the sources said, adding that less than a week ago, more than 21 Taliban fighters were killed in an air strike in the same region.

The anti-government armed militants including Taliban have not commented regarding the operations so far. (Khaama Press)
