TCKP to arrange workshop for durable tourism in KP

PESHAWAR: Tourism Corporation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (TCKP) and Directorate of Tourist Services would hold a workshop for tour operator across KP for promotion and long-term tourism in the province.

This was decided in a meeting presided by Secretary Tourism Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Tariq while attended by Managing Director TCKP Mushtaq Ahmed Khan and Director Tourist Services Muhammad Arbi.

TCKP and Directorate of Tourist Services would hold the workshop for about 100 registered tour operators for their training, capacity building, promotion of local tourism, provision of boarding services for tourists and provision of tourists’ packages other then Hajj and Umrah packages.

Secretary Tourism Department Muhammad Tariq on the occasion said that workshop is aimed to providing best services for local and foreign tourists and quality edible items.

On the occasion, In charge Event TCKP Hassina Shaukat said that the corporation would also hold such workshops for tour operators in future for improvement of tourists services in KP. She said that last year a huge influx of tourists was observed in KP which was result of the services provided by TCKP, adding that this year the tourists would also avail affordable tourist’ packages.
