NANGARHAR: Afghan security forces killed three militants of Islamic State (IS) in a raid conducted in eastern province of Afghanistan.
Afghan security officials told media that the raid was conducted by the Afghan commando forces and local security personnel also took part in it. The security forces targeted IS hideouts in Mamand Dara area of Achin district in which three members of terrorists group were killed.
Afghan forces also recovered a machine gun, a rocket propelled grenade launcher during the raid.
The Nangarhar government confirmed that the operation against militants was conducted and no civilian was injured or dead in the raid and militants were targeted in the operation.
