Three policemen killed in Farah

HERAT: As many as three police men were killed in a bomb blast and clash on Tuesday in Pusht-e-Rod district in Farah province.

Farah governor’s spokesman, Muhammad Nasir Mehri told local media that a bomb blast occurred near a security checkpoint in Masao area in the limits of Pusht-e-Rod district.

He added that soon after the blast the gunmen attacked the check posts in a result three police officials were killed.

Meanwhile, the Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack, saying five cops were killed in the incident.
