Twelve killed, four injured in Mumbai building collapse incident

MUMBAI: At least twelve people were killed and four others were injured after a fire tore through a shop in Mumbai city of India and the building collapse in early hours on Monday.

Tanaji Kamble, spokesperson of Mumbai Disaster Management Cell told local media persons that rescue workers saved the trapped workers who were sleeping when the building collapsed and fell on them.

He confirmed that twelve people were killed in the incident and four others were injured and some saved their lives by running out seconds before the collapse.

Authorities are looking into the cause of the blaze in the store in the suburbs of India´s financial capital.
