Two children killed, three hurt in blast

PESHAWAR: At least two children were killed and three other children were injured when a hand grenade went off here on Wednesday.

According to a police official, children of Hunar Gul had found a hand grenade in the jurisdiction of Badaber police station at Kohat Road. The official said that the children were playing with the hand grenade when it exploded.

As a result, two children identified as Noor ul Islam and Muhib killed on the spot, while three others children namely Shahid, Latif and Shoaib received several injuries.

Soon after the incident, Superintendent of Police Saddar division, Waqar Ahmad, DSP Riaz Khalil, SHO and others reached to the spot to investigate the incident. The injured were taken to hospital for medical treatment.
