JALALABAD: A local Taliban leader was killed along with another fighter when the explosive device they were making went off in eastern Laghman province on Monday, an official said.
Sarhadi Zwak, the governor’s spokesman, told local media that the explosion took place in the Akhundzadgan village of Badpekh district at around 7:00 a.m. He said two militants, including Abdul Samad, were killed and three others wounded in the explosion. There has been no word so far from Taliban regarding the incident.
