Two robbers killed in encounter, Police arrest dozens in raids

KARACHI: At least two suspected robbers were killed in an encounter late night in Karachi and police also arrested dozens of suspected persons in raid conducted in different parts of the city.

Police officials claimed that two robbers were killed in exchange of fire between the police force and robbers at the Site Super Highway area. Police also recovered weapons and stolen items from the crime scene.

SP Orangi Abid Ali Baloch has said that police conducted raids in Town’s Kikar Ground and Islamia Colony areas and arrested 14 suspected persons and they were shifted to police station for further investigations.

He added that police also arrested 15 gamblers in raid conducted in Mominabad area.

Similarly, police nabbed three criminals from Machar Colony and Old City areas and recovered drugs and weapons from their possessions.
