KABUL (Pajhwok): The United Arab Emirates (UAE) says it is dispatching more aid to survivors of the recent earthquake in western Afghanistan.
In Abu Dhabi, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) announced the deployment of six planes carrying over 200 tonnes of food supplies and tents to Afghanistan.
On October 10, three days after the magnitude-6.3 earthquake killed thousands of people in the war-torn country, the UAE had flown 33 tonnes of food supplies to survivors.
Additionally, a well-equipped UAE field hospital in Herat is providing care for the women, children and the elderly injured in the earthquake.
