US drone strikes kill 4 IS-K gunmen in eastern Afghanistan

JALALABAD: A US drone strike killed four Islamic State-Khorasan (IS-K) fighters while the IS-K gunmen executed three persons in eastern Afghanistan.

The US forces’ unmanned aircraft targeted IS-K hideout in the Lechlam area of Manogi district, Kunar province, killing four fighters and wounding another, Afghan National Army (ANA) 201st Selab Corps said in a statement Thursday.

It said the strike did not harm civilians.

There was no word by Daesh in this regard.

In another development, NDS forces discovered a Daesh linked arms and ammunition cache in the Laghar Joyee area of Kost district, Nangarhar province, said Attaullah Khugyani, spokesman of Nangarhar governor.

Meanwhile, images posted by IS-K on social media show their under aged fighters shooting three persons dressed in orange jumpsuits to death.

According to IS-K, those executed included two Afghan security men and a spy of Afghan government and were killed in Nangarhar province.

Exact location, date and time of the execution was not disclosed.
