War against terrorism will continue: Ahsan Iqbal

QUETTA: Federal Interior Minister, Ahsan Iqbal has said that terrorists are trying to re-entering the country from the western border with the aim to disturb the peaceful environment in the country.

Iqbal added that the war against terrorism will continue till the elimination of last terrorist from the area and those who run away are now trying to re-enter in the country through its Western border to target innocent people in the terrorist attacks.

This he said while addressing to media on Friday after visiting the Bethel Memorial Church where at least nine people were killed and 50 injured in a terrorist attack on December 17.

Interior minister assured the Christian community that the federal and provincial governments are standing with them in solidarity and adding that all religions and citizens are equal and they should feel safe in the country.

Earlier, on Thursday, Iqbal said India is using Afghanistan to foment instability in Pakistan so it can make the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) unsuccessful, adding that convicted Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav has accepted that India is pumping millions of dollars to ensure CPEC’s failure.
