West trying to impose their culture on Muslims: Mualana Gul Naseeb

TIMERGARA: The Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl provincial chief and former senator Maulana Gul Naseeb Khan has said the western powers were attacking Muslim society in order to bring changes in it according to their civilization.

He was addressing a workers’ convention arranged by the Jamiat Tulba Islam (JTI) at Nasafa Talash.

The JUI-F deputy chief senator Atta ur Rehman, Lower Dir Amir Maulana Zahid Khan, information secretary Mufti Khalid Mehmood, Haji Aminullah and others also spoke on the occasion.

Maulana Gul Naseeb said that under a planned conspiracy vulgarity was being spread in Pakistani society. He said the world powers wanted to take the new generation away from Islam and Islamic culture. He said that students and youth of Pakistan were being taught wrong history. The JUI-F leader said the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government had planned to take control of the mosques and seminaries by recruiting paid prayers’ leaders but his party would not let it do so.

He said the mosques and seminaries were the fort of Islam and religious people would never allow someone to disturb them. He said the students of religious seminaries had been playing pivotal role in defending the state sovereignty and integrity.

The speakers asked students to gain religious and contemporary knowledge of science and technology as both were necessary for them.
