Wolesi Jirga poll results from 6 more provinces announced

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Independent Election Commission (IEC) announced final results of Wolesi Jirga elections from six more provinces on Wednesday evening.

IEC chief Abdul Bade Sayyad announced at a press conference here the final election results from Badakhshan, Faryab, Khost, Farah, Kunar and Nuristan provinces.

From western Farah province, Hamayoon Shaheedzada, Abdul Sattar Hussaini, Abdul Nasir Farahi, Abdul Ghaffar Arman and Balqis Roshan were declare successful.

Winners from Faryab are Hashmatullah Arman, Mohammad Rasool Faryabi, Sanjar Kargar, Mohammad Hashim Khan, Syed Babar Jamal, Mohammad Shakir Karimi, Rangina Kargar, Shafiqa SakhaYolichi and Fozia Raufi.

From Badakhshan, the winners are Abdul Rauf Inami, Abdul Shakoor Waqif Hakimi, Hujatullah Khirdmand, Abdul Wali Niazai, Maulvi Zabihullah Atiq, Fazal Azim ZalmayMujaddedi, Dr. Ahmad Zia Yaftali, Nilofar Ibrahimi and Sadiqa Adib.

Kamal Nasir Usuli, Eng. Helmand Helmandi, Dr. Mohammad Musa Khawreen, Ghaffar Khan and Sahira Sharif are the successful runners from Khost province:.

From Kunar province: Javed Safi, Ustad Niamatullah Karyab, Ziaur Rahman Kashmir Khan and Wagma Safi have found their way to the lower house..

Ismail Atiqan and Qamar Bano Akbari from Nuristan province are also among the winners. The elections conducted on October 20 and 21 across 32 provinces of the country and in Kandahar, on October 27.

Initial results of the parliamentary polls were recently announced after many complaints of fraud and rigging. The preliminary results, scheduled for November 10, 2018, were delayed by a month for technical reasons.

A number of failed candidates from some provinces warned they would hold massive protests if their demands for investigating the results were not accepted.
