NANGARHAR: As many as seven Islamic State militants were killed in the latest airstrikes in parts of the Nanagarhar province of Afghanistan.
The local media quoted the local officials that the airstrikes were carried out in the last 24 hours in the Achin district of Nangarhar against the IS militants and targeted their hideouts.
The fighter planes targeted the IS hideouts in three different areas of the district including Abdul Khel, Sara Ghondi and Malkand, in which seven militants were killed
The anti-government armed militant groups have not commented regarding the report so far.
Earlier on Sunday, the foreign forces carried out airstrikes on IS hideouts in Nangarhar province of Afghanistan in which several militants were also killed. The airstrikes were carried out in restive Achin district of the province.
